Sharing a Vision

Main Team | Rescue Missions

When one undertakes a project of this magnitude, it requires many different individuals to make this project work. And every once in a while when the right people converge at the right place, and right time, something extraordinary and synergistic happens. A project turns into something much greater and far reaching than anyone could have imagined. We have been very fortunate to have this take place with our very talented team of professionals. Each and every person involved in this project has added their own unique talents, charisma, and creativity to this project.

William Edwards Artist William Edwards is an entrepreneur, artist, inventor, and philanthropist who has truly captured the essence of the diversity of creativity. For every creative invention Edwards realizes, there is also a business idea that soon follows. InTune Monthly, the nation’s largest music education magazine - which he founded and is the president, is one of these ideas. He is also the Chairman and founder of the Innovation Foundation, a non-profit organization which helps foster children’s creativity as well as helping their parents deal with raising a creative child. Then, given you own bias and predispositions, creating the network of support that helps you thrive as an individual and as a member of society. Courtyard publishing’s mission is to facilitate these networks for artists as well as being an intricate part of them.

Courtyard Publishing was founded through Jason’s marriage of the business world and the healing world. He understands that creative expression is a direct reflection of who we are and an absolute necessity for creating and maintaining health and happiness. Courtyard Publishing was established to support unfolding authenticity as a life sustaining process.
Adam Horowitz CFO & COO of Courtyard Publishing
Adam Horowitz CFO & COO of Courtyard Publishing Adam Horowitz, the company’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, worked in his family’s import/export business from an early age before graduating from Nova Southeastern University with a degree in business administration and finance. While still at university he commenced his career by working as a Budget Analyst for the Miami Museum of Science, where he continued employment following graduation. Subsequently he became the Financial Analyst for the Miami New Times, a national alternative newspaper with circulation throughout numerous U.S. major marketplaces. During his time there, he was selected to attend a one-year business management training program focusing on the leadership of new and expanding ventures.

Adam’s experience led to his being recruited as Controller for the South Florida Art Center, where he was responsible for overseeing all of the organization’s financial and operational strategies. This was a turnaround situation where his skills were fully tested as he restored the financial integrity of the institution, raising efficiencies, and creating systems and procedures that restored the organization to a path of financial viability and growth.

His success at the Arts Center resulted in his being appointed as the Chief Financial Officer for the new Miami Children’s Museum, where he became a member of the senior management team which was responsible for building the $25 million, 60,000 square foot attraction located on prestigious Watson Island. Under his watchful eye, the project was completed both on-time and on-budget, a rare feat for an assignment of this scope and type. Upon its opening, Adam shifted his attention to the operational side of the Museum, overseeing finance, operations, human resources and information systems and ensuring that the organization was “in the black” for the more than two year period of his continued tenure.

In November of 2005, with the challenge of establishing another new organization, Jason Gordon enticed Adam to join Courtyard Publishing as the corporation’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. He is responsible for all day-to-day operations and finances, using his experience and skills to translate the strategic vision of the venture into practical realities.

Rescue Missions
We have been fortunate in working with many wonderful rescue missions on this project. These missions are on the frontline of the homeless epidemic. They provide direct services to the homeless including food, shelter, clothing, medical care, counseling, job training and many others. These organizations work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week tirelessly on these services. We all owe a debt of gratitude to them.
