"Because this is where I live this is where I started this project. Miami’s homeless were the ‘test subjects’ of this project. This is where I figured out that through trial and error I could handle this odd situation. Would the cameras actually be mailed back and would these people actually participate in this somewhat insane project, were some of the questions I found myself asking."

"It all started with Antonio. I spotted Antonio standing on the edge of the underpass singing into a portable radio. I told him that I was working on a little art project and that I wanted him to take some pictures of his life for a few days. He told me that he was from Cuba and that he spends his days singing along with the old Cuban songs on his little radio.
